Aimee Denise (Garrett) Shutter

Aimee Denise (Garrett) Shutter, age 53, of San Augustine, Texas, passed away, February 27, 2025, in San Augustine County, Texas.

She was born February 22, 1972, in Lufkin, Texas, to parents Ira Wayne Garrett and Martha (Fitzgerald) Garrett. Aimee, a lifelong area resident, was a graduate of Broaddus High School and a member of the Church of Christ.

Her survivors include her husband, Jerry Baird Shutter of San Augustine, Texas; her mother, Martha Fitzgerald Garrett of San Augustine, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Mandy and Rodger Stewart of San Augustine, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Charnette Garrett of Chireno, Texas; her puppy, Lulu; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ira Wayne Garrett; and a brother, James Ray Garrett. 

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2025, at Thomas Cemetery, located on County Road 274 in San Augustine County, Texas, Charlie Franks and Stephen Wiggins officiating.

Pallbearers: Stetson Garrett, Travis Garrett, Charlie Franks, Kenny Franks, C.J. Garrett, and Sterling Wall.
