Annie Maudice (Wise) Collins

Mrs. Annie Maudice Wise Collins passed away November 13, 2024, after a short illness at her home with her family gathered around her.

Maudice was born June 26, 1940, in San Augustine County, Texas, to parents Crockett Wise and Annie Sowell Wise.

She attended school in Broaddus, Texas, and was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a homemaker and helped with the family business.

Maudice liked to hunt, fish, paint, and watch old movies. She loved taking trips to the mountains, going on cruises, and listening to music.

Her survivors include her daughters, Melinda Collins Mullins of Waco, Texas, and Rhonda Collins of San Augustine, Texas; sons, Albert Collins of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Alvis Collins of San Augustine, Texas; a brother, Alvis Dennon Wise of San Augustine County; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Collins; parents, Crockett and Annie Wise; sister, Guarnece Wise Martin; and grandsons, Stacy Martin and Jon Summers Jr.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2024, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine, Texas.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2024, at Attoyac Cemetery, located at 600 FM 3316 in San Augustine County, Texas, with Bro. T.A. Lane officiating.

Grandsons serving as pallbearers include Gary Martin, Jerry Martin, Shon Summers, Alvis Collins II, Keifer Collins, and Colby Prestidge.
