Barbara Joan (Brechtel) Evett

Barbara Joan Brechtel Evett began her journey on April 4, 1933, and reached the age of 91. She was born at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio to Elizabeth Hight Stone and Bud Reed Brechtel. She passed from this life to Heaven on January 25, 2025, at Colonial Pines Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband Burtis Evett.

Those left to cherish her memory include children Johnny Evett and wife Debra, Linda Swanson and husband Tim, Joann Weatherford and husband Brock. She is also survived by six grandchildren Lindsey Green (Jeff), Kimberly Swenson (Justin), Brandon Weatherford (Shelby), Jordan Weatherford (Candice), Heather Evett, Colton Evett (Amber). Additionally she leaves behind eight great-grandchildren Haylee Thompson, Braeden Richardson, Dawson Bearden, Skyler Weatherford, Barrett Green and Ellie Green, Rynlie Weatherford and Braysher Weatherford. She is also survived by one great-great-grandchild Emberlynn Thompson.

Visitation will be Monday, January 27, 2025, starting at 4pm. A homecoming service will be at Crossroads Christian church on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 2 pm with Pastor Tim Swanson officiating. Pallbearers are the Grandsons. In lieu of flowers please make donation to The Gideons International.
