Betty Kathleen (Christopher) Kirchner

Mrs. Betty Kathleen (Christopher) Kirchner, age 78, of San Augustine County, Texas, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Colonial Pines Health Care Center in San Augustine.

A longtime resident of the Denning community area of San Augustine County, Mrs. Kirchner was born January 31, 1944, in Houston. She began a long career in banking in the Houston area and upon moving to East Texas in 1980 she joined the staff of Chireno State Bank. She later returned to the Houston area and had several years of service with Wells Fargo Bank before retiring and moving back to San Augustine County.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Manley Benjamin Christopher and Elaine Ernestine Christopher White.

Her survivors include her husband, David Kirchner; daughter, Dana Anderson and husband Alan; a son, Jay Cure and wife Sharan; step-children, Joshua Kirchner, Amy Bashnick, and Kalyn Thomsen; brothers, Manley Christopher and wife, Marie, and Jim White and wife, Patricia; grandchildren, Chantal Ruddick and husband Karl, Rhonda Montrose and husband Jonathan, Joshua Travis Cure and wife Stefani, and Brittany Mills and husband Ernie; great-grandchildren, Karley, Ryan, Peyton, Madison, Kylee, Rylee, Tanner, Kerie, Harley, Camryn, Adyn, Kade, and Connor; and a host of other family and friends.
