Betty Ann Hanson

Betty Ann Hanson, age 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Legacies Care Center in Hemphill, Texas. She was born November 10, 1955, in Charleston, South Carolina.

She was known for her love of family, friends and baking, especially cakes. Betty cherished holidays, especially Halloween, and enjoyed dining out and watching movies with loved ones. Traveling and playing games like cards and bunko were her favorite activities. She loved receiving “phone hugs” from family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory, include her brother and sisters, MaLinda Ehlers of San Augustine, Texas, Ronald Hanson Jr. and wife Gail of Bronson, Texas, and Janet Dragulski of Pineland, Texas; nieces and nephews, Carla Jurek and husband Carry, Chris Ehlers and wife Jennifer, and Sydney and Derek Dragulski; great niece and nephews, Kristen, Travis, and Justin Jurek; step-daughter, Wendy Ellen Jones and husband Justin; step-son, Shawn Allen Guenther and wife Lynne; step- grandchildren, Heather Nicole Goodfallow, Paige Brown and husband Trent, Rylea Jones and Abigail Grace Jones; step-great-grandchildren, Emery Mae, Anna Grace, and Charlotte Ann Brown.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald Sr. and Edna Hanson; and a brother-in-law, Todd Dragulski.

In lieu of flowers, her family would like to suggest memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society for breast cancer in memory of Betty Ann Hanson.
