Billy Ray Klein passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025, in Nacogdoches, Texas.
Born on January 27, 1959, Billy lived a life marked by faith, dedication, and a deep connection to the natural world. He was the son of Fran Jacobs of Gainesville, Florida, and Ray Klein of Kingwood, Texas. Billy shared a close bond with his brother, Eddie Joe Klein of Miami, Florida. His extended family included his sisters-in-law, Ann Dean of San Augustine, Texas, Faye Shelton of Clyde, Texas, and Teresa Camp of Waco, Texas.
Billy was married to Deborah Klein of Chireno, Texas. Their 36-year marriage stood as a testament to enduring love and mutual devotions. Together they built a home filled with warmth and care, where animals were treated as cherished members of the family.
A skilled tile and stone setter, Billy owned and operated his own business for many years. His work was known for its quality and precision, reflecting both his craftsmanship and strong work ethic He earned the respect of clients and colleagues alike through his dedication to doing things right.
Billy found peace in the outdoors. Whether hunting in the woods or fishing in quiet waters, he felt most connected to the world around him when immersed in nature. A man of deep spiritual conviction, Billy was of the Baptist faith. His relationship with Jesus Christ guided his daily life and remained central to his values and actions.
Billy Ray Klein leaves behind a legacy grounded in love--for his wife Debi, his step-son, Shane Webb, for his family near and far, for the animals he cared for so deeply, and for the Lord he served faithfully. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and peace to all who walk the paths he once loved.
A Celebration of Life Service is planned for 4 p.m. on May 7, 2025, at Chireno Baptist Church with Bro. John McGuire officiating.
