Billy Wayne Horne

Mr. Billy Wayne Horne, age 68, of San Augustine, Texas, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Nacogdoches Medical Center.

He was born November 16, 1956, in San Augustine County, Texas, to parents Willie Ray and Helen Horne. Billy Wayne was a lifelong area resident and retired from Lufkin Industries Trailer Division following several years of service. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

His survivors include his wife, Deborah Horne; a daughter, Syrethbeth and Scott Carmichael; grandchildren, Jason Fletcher, Kirsten Carmichael, and Jacob Carmichael; great-grandchildren, Kinsley Carmichael and Brooklynn Carmichael; brothers and sisters, Jimmy Ray and Amy Horne, Alan and Sandra Horne, Venita and David Horton, and Pearl and Scott Sowell; brother-in-law, Tom and Tracy Smith; and nephews and nieces, Crystal and Steven Sowell, Jacob and Stacy Horne, Josh and Maranda Blue, Bethanie Horne, Jeremy and Nikki Smith, Clayton Smith, Haleigh Smith and Timmy and Regina Sowell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Ray and Helen Horne; mother-in-law, Haldai Compton; brother-in-law, Bill Blue; and a nephew, Bryan Blue.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home Chapel, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine, Texas.
