Ms. Bobbie Dean Sanford, 77, of San Augustine County passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024, at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, La., following a Friday traffic accident.
Bobbie was born November 12, 1946, in San Augustine County to parents Douglas Duel and Georgie Bea (Sheard) Sanford. After living in other areas, she returned to San Augustine County several years ago and was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Bobbie's passion was helping others and had a heart for providing care for animals, loving her dogs and cats. She also loved flowers.
Her survivors include her son, Don White and wife Paula of San Augustine County; daughter, Bobbie Jo Carothers and husband Edward of Zavalla, Texas; step-daughters, Virginia Helmer of Houston and Jackie White of Waller; grandchildren, Madison Jolley, Rebecca Jolley, Emily Jolley, Aiden Lewis, Michael White, Elizabeth Pannell, Johnny White, and Dylon Newton; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Brantley, Hudson, Huxton, and Caden; and a host of other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Douglas Duel and Georgie Bea Sanford; sons, Jimmy White, Johnny White, and Arlen Lewis; and her brother, Donice Sanford.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel with Bro. Curtis White officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Attoyac Cemetery, located on FM 3316 in San Augustine County.
Pallbearers: Jess Williams, Sam McGee, Don White, Dylon Newton, Matt Pannell, and Edward Carothers.
