Bobby Joe Barclay

Mr. Bobby Joe Barclay passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Colonial Pines Healthcare Center in San Augustine, Texas, at the age of 85.

Mr. Barclay was born July 27, 1937, in Tyler County, Texas, to parents Will W. Barclay and Julia (Gunning) Barclay. He was a lifelong resident of East Texas. He loved everyone and was a strong Dallas Cowboys fan.

His survivors include his sister, Julia Dalbey of Kingwood, Texas, and host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Will W. and Julia Barclay; seven brothers, Hulan Barclay, Edgar Morrel Barclay, Loys Lee Barclay, James Houston Barclay, Bernard Barclay, and Hal Barclay; and three sisters, Susie Martin, Bitsy Fortenberry, and Marie Best.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine, Texas.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Mount Pisgah Cemetery near Woodville, Texas, with Bro. Gordon Vaughn officiating.
