Brandon Bennett Obituary

Mr. Brandon Wayne Bennett, age 33, of Shelby County, Texas, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at his residence.  He was born August 21, 1992, in Houston, Texas, to parents Larry Wayne Bennett and Ishmeil Allegra Romirez.

He graduated from Broaddus High School and then worked in construction. He liked to fish; he loved his friends. Trentton Williams and Brandon Barthol were extremely important to him. He loved to grill, but he dropped the food every single time. It didn't matter what it was or where he was grilling. He loved Tammy's cooking. Her yeast rolls and chicken and dumplings were his favorite thing in the world to eat.

He loved music and Nickelback and Tom Petty, thanks to his rides with Uncle Billy. He loved to sing but would only do it in the car. He knew all the words to every Tom Petty song. He was so proud of his brothers and sister and always talked so highly of their future, especially when Taylor was accepted to college and Tyler went to the reserves. He was so proud of Zaryon and he always told him he knew he would do great in life and loved him like a brother. He loved his Aunt KK. She was one of his favorite people in the world. And his sweet Grandma who he knew did everything in the world for him. He always spoke about his Pawpaw and how he couldn't wait to see him again and how he missed him so much. He loved animals of all kinds and would never pass a stray on the road. We had so many animals at one point because he couldn't "just leave them".

He was proud of his kids and how smart they were and how much they were growing. He loved Kazlee's singing and loved Kelsie's drawings. He loved hard and quick and easy, and he was the most fun person to be around. He thought his dad's jokes were everything and always had a joke to tell because of him. He loved his family unconditionally, every single one of us!

His survivors include his father, Larry Bennett; children Kazlee Bennett and Kelsie Bennett; Grandmother Linda Jeanes; siblings Justin Bennett, Tyler Bennett, and Taylor Bennett.

He was preceded in death by his mother Ishmeil Romirez; brother Robert Hobbs; Grandfather Paul Jeanes; uncle "Little" Paul Bennett.
