Carolyn (Wall) McDaniel

Mrs. Carolyn McDaniel, age 70, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away Monday, February 12, 2024, at Westward Trails Nursing Home in Nacogdoches, Texas.

Carolyn was born June 15, 1953, in Slidell, Louisiana, to parents Vertis L. and Sybil (Spell) Wall. She had been a longtime resident of Broaddus, Texas, before moving to Nacogdoches in recent years. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and retired as a cook, having worked at several restaurants and venues in the East Texas area.

Her survivors include her sons, Thomas McDaniel of Broaddus, Texas, and Tyson McDaniel and wife Autumn of Lufkin, Texas; a daughter, Valerie McDaniel of Nacogdoches, Texas; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas McDaniel; a daughter, Tracy McDaniel Guin; her parents, V.L. and Sybil Wall; and sisters, Sharon Dawson, Deby Fitzgerald, and Pam Harrison.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine, Texas. 

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel with Bro. Don Lofton officiating.
