Mr. Charles William Bonnin, age 86, of San Augustine, Texas, passed away Monday, September 15, 2025, in San Augustine.
"Charlie" was born October 23, 1938, in Sulphur, Louisiana, to parents William and Irene (LeBlanc) Bonnin. Proudly serving his country, he was a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Bonnin had lived in the Houston area several years and retired following a long career in the trucking business. He has been a longtime resident of the San Augustine area and blended well in the community following retirement.
His survivors include an uncle, Bob Bonnin of Bridge City, Texas; cousins, Bryan and Carole Bonnin of Bridge City, Texas; and host of friends and neighbors.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine, Texas. Pastor Tim Turner and Mike Jackson will be officiating.
