Charles Ray Whisenhunt

Mr. Charles Ray Whisenhunt, age 58, of San Augustine County, Texas, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023, at his residence.

Mr. Whisenhunt was born October 31, 1964, in Beaumont, Texas, to Jeanette (Fox) and Robert Whisenhunt Sr. He had been a longtime area resident and a 1983 graduate of San Augustine High School. He was an accomplished equipment operator in construction as well as an avid gardener. He had a great passion for other outdoor activities, such as baseball, fishing, and hunting.

His survivors include his son, Shon Eddins; his mother, Jeanette Fountain; and siblings, Debbie Whisenhunt, Kathey Moore, Alice Alvey, Robert Whisenhunt Jr., Kim Trammel, and Steve Arnold.

He was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Virginia Whisenhunt; and a brother, Greg Arnold.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2023, at White Rock Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Swanson officiating.
