Connie Sue Thut Bauerle, 72, of San Augustine, Texas, entered into rest the evening of December 3, 2023, at her home with her loving husband and their two faithful pets, Cooper and Cody, after a brief battle with illness.
Connie was born in Pampa, Texas, and moved with her family to Bacliff, Texas, when her father was transferred from Pampa Celanese Corporation to Clearlake, Texas, Celanese Corporation. Later that is where she met the love of her life, Bruce Bauerle of Orangeburg, South Carolina. They were married and began their 36 year life’s journey together.
Connie was a consummate professional musician who performed throughout the U.S. She was also a licensed cosmetologist and owner/operator of Connie Creek Quilts, a thriving business she operated from their home for 23 years.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce Bauerle of San Augustine, Texas; uncle, Raymond Marney and family of Tennessee; uncle, Charles Snow and family of Alabama; cousin, Lonny Marney and family of Alaska; extended family, Bradley Clary and family of Lufkin, Texas; and a countless host of loving friends around the U.S.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the Wyman Roberts Funeral Home chapel, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine, Texas.
Connie touched everyone’s heart that she met. She was a sweet soul who loved life, her family, friends, pets, and the Lord. She is now our forever guiding light that will lead us through the rest of our days until we meet again in the by and by.
Connie’s final wish for family and friends was to please reach into your hearts and donate to “The St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for Cancer.”
Her memory and spirit will always be with us; she will be dearly missed and forever loved.
Her final interment will be at the Broaddus (Texas) Cemetery, next to her mother, father, and brother.
