Danny Dean Rash

Mr. Danny Dean Rash, age 73, of San Augustine, Texas, passed away Monday, October 6, 2025, at Avir Health Care in San Augustine.

Mr. Rash was born September 11, 1952, in Center, Texas, to parents R.C. and Lola Christine (Harvey) Rash. He was a lifelong area resident and attended San Augustine Schools. Danny had worked in the truck maintenance at Holly Farms and was a member of the Church of Christ. He loved dogs and had many hours of fun playing bingo as well working puzzles.

His survivors include: sister, Susie McDaniel and husband Cary of Coushatta, Louisiana; brother, Billy Rash and wife Marilyn of Argyle, Texas; sister, Rose Newman and husband Rodney of Garrison, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces great-nephews, and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, R.C. Rash; mother, Lola Rash; a sister, Carolyn Ducharme; and a nephew, Cameron Rash.

Danny's family would like to offer a special word of appreciation to Dr. John Oglesbee and the staff of Avir Health Care (formerly Summit) for their love and compassion in his care.

A family memorial will be held at a later date at the Dickerson Cemetery.
