Dessie McDaniel

Dessie McDaniel, 80, of Bronson passed away Monday, January 30, 2023, at Stone Creek Village Care Center.

She was born June 9, 1942, in Nacogdoches County to parents Thelma (McKey) and Neal Elarce McDaniel and had been a lifelong area resident, working as a waitress. Ms. McDaniel enjoyed fishing as well playing "42" and card games.

Her survivors include her son, Frank Stanley; daughter, Shelia Hunter; grandsons, Aaron Keith Stanley and Dustin William Stanley; granddaughter, Crystal Kay Gilliard; great-grandchildren, Lucas William Stanley, Meredith Marie McDowell, Christian Wayne Sain, Chace Andrue Lee Torgerson, and Chandler James Torgerson; brothers, Albert McDaniel, Herman McDaniel, David McDaniel, and Doug McDaniel; and sisters, Mildred Cassidy, Nancy Kuzma, and Judy Jackowicz.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma and Neal Elarce McDaniel; brothers, Daniel McDaniel and Thurman McDaniel; and a sister, Eunice Jacks.

Graveside services are planned for 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2023, at Chinquapin Cemetery with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.

Pallbearers: Johnny Ray McDaniel, Carroll McDaniel, Carl McDaniel, Michael McDaniel, Paul Cassidy, and Tray McDaniel.
