Donald "Don" Lewis

Mr. Donald Eugene "Don" Lewis, age 67, of San Augustine, Texas, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Stone Creek Village Care Center in San Augustine. 

Don was born August 8, 1954, in Houston, Texas, to parents Shirley Ann and Joseph Eugene Lewis. He had lived in San Augustine County for a number of years. He was a retired natural gas technician.

His survivors include his children, Celeste A. Lewis-Riley of Illinois, James J. Lewis of Tomball, Texas, Derek D. Lewis of Kingwood, Texas, Hannah Wren of Bryan, Texas, and Torie Lewis of Colmesneil, Texas; his mother, Shirley Ann Lewis of San Augustine, Texas; his sister, Denice Green of Etoile, Texas; and his four grandchildren, Destinee, Michael, Tristin, and Preston.

He was preceded in death by his father, J.E. Lewis; and a brother, David Lewis.

A graveside service is set for 2:30 p.m. Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Chinquapin Cemetery, located on County Road 416 in San Augustine County with Rev. Tim Turner officiating.

Pallbearers: Derek Lewis, James Lewis, Cody Green, Randy Lewis, Ed Green, and L.W. Neeley.
