Doris (Pitts) Malone

Mrs. Doris Pitts Malone, 84, of Broaddus, Texas, was called home to the Lord on August 5, 2023.

She was born April 1, 1939, in Ellisville, Mississippi, to parents Walter and Lula Pitts. Doris was employed by Malone Painting.

She loved her family, cooking, crafts, and her church. Doris also enjoyed game day at her home, when neighbors would come and enjoy her hospitality.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Frankie O. Malone; her parents, Julius Walter Pitts and Lula Walters Pitts; her brothers, James W. Pitts and Jerry Pitts; and her sister, Dorothy Ruth Purvis.

Survivors include two sons, Roger O. Malone and wife Allison of Jasper, Texas, and Wayne Malone and wife Melanie of Houston, Texas; and grandchildren, Evan, Ryan, Miranda, and Mackenzie Malone.

Graveside services are set for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Townsend Cemetery.
