Mr. Ernest "Punk" Mills of San Augustine County, Texas, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024, in Lufkin, Texas, at the age of 91 years, 6 months, 12 days.

Mr. Mills was born February 16, 1933, in San Augustine County to Louise (Ponder) and Ernest Mills Sr. and a lifelong area resident and member of the Baptist Church. He retired as a security officer.

His survivors include his wife, Eleanor Pickard Mills of San Augustine; daughters, Sandra Mills and Debra Wendel, both of San Augustine; sons, Ernest Mills III of San Augustine and Dennis Andrew Mills of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sisters, Beverly Rains and husband Ewell of Carthage, Texas, and Shirley and Paul Smith of San Augustine; brothers, Cecil Mills and wife Verginia of Texas City, Texas, and Thad Mills of Carthage; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Private arrangements are under the direction of Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine, Texas.
