Florencia Carrillo Covarrubias, 73, was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and the heart that held her family together, passed from this life on Monday, April 27, 2026, in the Woodlands, Texas.
Raised in Refugio, Mexico and later a resident of San Augustine, she shared 48 loving years of marriage with her beloved husband. Florencia was known for her selfless spirit, courage, and deep compassion. She brought joy wherever she went—often the life of the party—and served as a true pillar of strength and love for her family.
She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures, especially gardening, crocheting, and creating art and crafts. She had a special love for her chihuahuas and cherished the peace and traditions of rancho life. Alongside her husband, she proudly co-owned El Giro, where her warmth and dedication touched many in the community. A faithful member of San Augustine Catholic Church, her strong faith guided her life and relationships. Florencia’s legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will live on in all who knew her.
Siempre vivirá en los corazones de su familia y de todos los que la amaron.
