Helen B. Lane

Helen Brady Lane passed away peacefully on Wednesday, 24 April 2024, at Goodwin House Bailey's Crossroads in Falls Church, Virginia.

Helen was born in Portland, Oregon, on 12 April 1935 to George Dewey Brady and Flora (Grimm) Brady. She was a retired U.S. Foreign Service Officer. She married a fellow FSO, Larry E Lane, in Texas in 1959.

Helen and Larry lived and served in Bolivia, Germany, Mexico, Chile, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, and Spain.

Helen is survived by her sons, Andrew (and wife Edith) Lane and Joel Lane both of Arlington; and her daughters Amy Lane of Hedgesville, West Virginia, and Julia (husband Michael) Brown of Naples, Florida. She is also survived by her grandchildren Meredith, Margaret, Adam, and Zachary.

A memorial service and inurnment will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at the Wood Cemetery, located off FM 83 west of Pineland, Texas.
