Herman Earl Husband

Mr. Herman Earl Husband, age 83, of San Augustine County, Texas, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025, at Avir Health Care in San Augustine.

Mr. Husband was born November 19, 1941, in San Augustine County to parents Herman and Maurene (Farr) Husband. He was a longtime area resident and member of Rosevine United Pentecostal Church. Herman was a proud veteran, faithfully serving his country in the U.S. Navy from 1961-1965. He later worked for a number of years as an ironworker. 

His survivors include his son, Shon Husband and his wife, Ethel, of Cleveland, Texas; sisters, Margie Coffee and her husband, John, and Kathy Olvera and her husband, Urbano, all of San Augustine, Texas; and grandchildren, Devlyn Husband of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Teryn Husband, Evyn Husband, and Kellyn Husband, all of Cleveland, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Husband and Maurene Bertram; and a brother, Charles "Nute" Husband.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel with Bro. Gordon Simmons officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Liberty Hill Memorial Garden.

Pallbearers: Devlyn Husband, Evyn Husband, Kellyn Husband, Steve Fountain, Gary Wall, and Louis Dunham.
