Herman Lee Taylor

Mr. Herman Lee Taylor, age 86, of Broaddus, Texas, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at his residence. 

Mr. Taylor was born in 1939 in Broaddus to parents Jonathan and Lillie Mae (Hale) Taylor. He was a lifelong area resident and worked as logger. Herman was a hard worker and in fact was still working at the time of his passing. He was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church and had also attended Trinity Baptist Church.

His survivors include his children, Ruby J. Garrett and her husband Michael "JJ," Pam Taylor, Darren Taylor and wife Amy, Herman Gene Taylor and wife Shanna, Rebecca Taylor Deckard and husband Shannon, Oskarine Thomas and husband Therman, Kylee Taylor, Nathan Taylor, and Tim Taylor; sisters, Gloria Jean Paul and Inez Brooks; an aunt, Robbie Benton; and a host of grandchildren and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jonathan and Lillie Mae Taylor; his brothers, Fred Lee Taylor, Ira Taylor, J.T. Taylor, Clyde Taylor, and Mordil Taylor; and a sister, Erma Nell Murray. 

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 4. 2025, at Pisgah Cemetery, located on County Road 313 (Off FM 705) near Broaddus, Texas.
