Mr. James Darryl Mangrum, age 62, of Broaddus, Texas, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2026, at his residence.
James was born January 25, 1964, in Fort Worth, Texas, to parents James Allen and Carlene (Courtney) Mangrum. He had been a resident of Broaddus for several years.
He had a long, distinguished career as a truck driver. James has hauled just about anything that has been hauled. He worked on local hauls as well as long distance trips.
James loved his family. He also had great passion for wood working activities, coming up with many designs and creations. James spent many an hour fishing, another great pastime in his life, including fishing in some of the biggest, exciting tournaments on East Texas waters.
His survivors include his wife, Carla Mangrum of Broaddus, Texas; sons, Brandon Mangrum and his wife, Jayla, and Dustin Mangrum, all of Huntington, Texas; daughters, Danielle Sanders and her husband, Roy Allen, of Huntington, Texas, and Amanda Cravy and her husband, Joshua, of Nacogdoches, Texas; sisters, Dena Cocke and her husband, John, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Tina Shawn and her husband, Steven, of Joshua, Texas; a brother, Joel Mangrum and his wife, Judith, of Mitchell, Indiana; and his grandchildren, Dallas Sanders, Brandon Sanders, Haven Mangrum, Jagger Mangrum, and Jennings Mangrum.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Carlene Mangrum.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the Wyman Roberts Funeral Home Chapel, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine, Texas.
