Jane Denise Hicks

Ms. Jane Denise Hicks, 69, of Yellowpine, Texas, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Lufkin, Texas.

Jane was born August 7, 1956, in Marksville, Louisiana, to parents Mary Catherine (Robertson) and Harvey Hicks. She had been a longtime resident of the Pineville, Louisiana, prior to relocation to Sabine County, Texas, a few years ago. A faithful believer, she was affiliated with the Baptist church.

She loved her family and was always appreciative of any family time with her loved ones. Jane had a great love of the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing. Many great hours were spent shopping, which always brought so much pleasure to her heart. Pets held a very fond place in her life.

Her survivors include her children, Lyndale Ryland and wife Darlene of Hineston, Louisiana, Catherine Stewart and husband Gary of Yellowpine, Texas, and Corey Ryland of Centerpoint, Louisiana; a brother, Greg Sanchez and wife Karen of Pineville, Louisiana; sisters, Janice Gaskins and husband Ronnie of Montgomery, Texas, Jennifer Hicks of Elmer, Louisiana, and Judy McCormick and husband Ronnie of Pineville, Louisiana; grandchildren, Joey Strother, Amber Humphries, Kayla Eaves and husband Jessie, Kasara Satcher and husband Brent, Lakin Stroud and Mason Mylien, Destiny Ryland, Corey Ryland Jr., and Nicholas Davis; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Mary Catherine Hicks; sisters, Caron White and Rose Mary Wyll; and nephews, Mark Gaskins and Steven Wyll.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Yellowpine Baptist Church, Pastor T.A. Lane, located at the intersection of State Hwy. 87 and FM 2343 in the Yellowpine community of Sabine County, Texas. (125 Scrappin Valley Road)
