Jason Adam Garsee of San Augustine, Texas, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, January 17, 2026. His passing was sudden and his family is left with many questions and heavy hearts.
He was a father, son, brother, and family man who mattered deeply to the people who knew him. More than anything, he loved his daughter.
He is survived by his daughter, Katelyn Nicole Garsee "Katie" of San Augustine; his parents, Billy and Priscilla Garsee of San Augustine; his brothers, Christopher "Chris" Garsee and James Matthew "Matt" Garsee, both of San Augustine; nephews, Matthew "Ryan" and Zachary Thomas Garsee, both of San Augustine, and Shaun Jones of Broaddus; his former wife, Sharma Allen of Arkansas; aunts and uncles, Adrienne and Robert Harrison of San Augustine, Irene Cassidy of Zale, Rayford Eberlan of Jasper, Sue and Ron Williams, and Vick and Skipper Pate; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Billy "Bill" and Teenie Garsee and Imogene "Dorothy" Horn and her husband, J.D. Horn; aunt, Elizabeth "Libby" Gilbreath; and uncle, Harrell Gilbreath; and with several other family members.
He is remembered by family in San Augustine, Texas, Moscow, Texas, Spring, Texas, and beyond. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 26, 2026, in the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the Thomas Cemetery in San Augustine County, Texas.
Visitation will be Monday, January 26, 2026, from the hours of 1 p.m. to 2.p.m. at the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel in San Augustine.
