Jeremy Benjamin Whitton

Mr. Jeremy Benjamin Whitton, age 51, of Joaquin, Texas, passed away Friday, June 5, 2026, at his residence. 

Mr. Whitton was born April 24, 1975, in Center, Texas, to parents Edith Geraldine (Henry) and John Thomas Whitton and had been a lifelong resident of Shelby County, Texas.

He had a friendly, outgoing personality and never met a stranger. Jeremy was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Center, Texas. 

Jeremy worked several years as a mechanic and also worked in production for Tyson. Outdoor activities were a great passion for Mr. Whitton, especially hunting and fishing.

His survivors include his wife, Tammy A. Bennefield of Joaquin; his sister, Tammy Worsham Hill: and his children, Edith Whitton and John Whitton. 

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Private services are under the direction of Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine, Texas.
