Mr. Kenneth Bryan of San Augustine County passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024, at his residence at the age of 85 years, 1 month, 28 days.
Born March 28, 1939, to parents C.B. and Lonie Beatrice (Marshall) Bryan, he was a native of San Augustine County's Veach community. He served many years as a firefighter, retiring from the City of Houston Fire Department with 20 years of service. Mr. Bryan was a member of the Baptist church and had lived in the Denning area for over 40 years. He and Anna Belle Bailey were married on May 2, 1959.
His survivors include his wife of 65 years, Anna Belle of San Augustine; children, Kendal Charles and Judy of Willis; Victor Lionel and Sherry of Center; Felecia Kaye Wood and Greg of San Augustine; Klaus and Dora Pelkmann; sisters, Helen Charette and Merline Tanner, both of Brenham; a brother, Alvey Bryan of Broaddus; grandchildren, Kendra Jung, Megan Svatek, Amy Zurbola, Cody Bryan, Casey Bryan, Kristina Oelberg, Chelsea Wood, Tomas Pelkmann and Mariah Pelkmann; great-grandchildren, Tyler Cramer, Colton Cramer, Christopher Cramer, Trapper Cramer, Christian Svatek, Ema Svatek, and Charlotte Oelberg; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, C.B. and Lonie Beatrice Marshall; parents-in-law, Harrison DeWitt Bailey and Susie Inez Mitchell Bailey; and his siblings, Pauline Mott, Doug Bryan, Betty Martinez, Wilma Rayburn, Lorene Bryan, Benny Bryan, Burnice Bryan, and Leon Bryan.
