Kimberly Azell (Calder) Burks of Chireno, Texas, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021, in San Augustine County, Texas. She was born August 15, 1965, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

She was a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) working in healthcare for many years. She loved the outdoors and spending time with her beloved family.

Kim is survived by parents, Ruth Ann Hedge and husband Gerald of Chireno; daughters, Ashley Chandler and husband Jared of Chireno, Texas, and Christina Bearden and husband Mathew of San Augustine, Texas; son, William "Will" Burks and wife Brandy of Chireno; sister, Michelle Little and husband Burt of Springtown; brothers, Bobby Calder and wife Linda of Chireno, Texas, and Danny Calder and wife Kim of Campti, Louisiana; grandchildren, Shelby Burks, Aiden Sowell, Camryn Sowell, Blake Bearden, Stormie Bearden, and Weylyn Chandler; sister-in-law, Teresa Johnson; nephew, Seth Johnson and wife Jacki; and nieces, Kathryn Johnson, Jessica Alen, and Leslie Calder.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Burks; sons, Weldon and Wade Burks; and mother-in-law, Ann Falleur.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2021, 3:00 p.m., at the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel in San Augustine, Texas. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
