Lee Elumbaugh

Mr. Arthur Lee Elumbaugh Jr., age 59, a lifelong resident of the San Augustine area, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Jasper Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Texas.

"Lee" was born June 20, 1965, in San Augustine to parents Sherry (Horne) and Arthur Lee Elumbaugh Sr. He was a 1983 graduate of San Augustine High School and had worked in trucking for a number of years. Lee was currently employed as a safety technician for MKO Trucking.

His survivors include sons, Tyler Elumbaugh and wife Jessica of San Augustine, and Chad Elumbaugh and fiance Mackenzie Cartwright of San Augustine; mother of his children, Tina Elumbaugh of San Augustine; step-daughter, Jessica Runnels and Josh Sowell of Mt. Vernon; grandsons, Jaelen Elumbaugh of San Augustine, and Dalton Sowell and Jace Sowell, both of Mt. Vernon; nephew, Trenton McClelland of San Augustine; niece, Allison McClelland and daughter Sophia of San Augustine; aunts, Daisey Sue Horne of Conroe, Lavine Trowell of Georgia; uncles, Harold Horne of New Diana; Bill Elumbaugh of Arkansas, Jay Elumbaugh of Michiganand cousin, Dean Horne of San Augustine.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Sherry Elumbaugh; and his sister, Rita McClelland.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia St. in San Augustine.

Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel with Charles Sharp officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Liberty Hill Memorial Garden in San Augustine.

Pallbearers: Curtis Bailey, Mark Green, Keith O'Rear, Mike Godsey, Randy Fountain, and Leon Renfroe. Honorary pallbearers: Jason Hines, Wesley Hoyt, Dan Fussell, Robert Cartwright, and Dean Horne.
