Mrs. Linda Faye (Polk) Krause of Broaddus, Texas, passed away and joined her Savior on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at her residence in the Yellow Ridge community, reaching the age of 70 years, 8 months, 6 days.
Linda was born September 17, 1953, in Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, as the third of four children to parents Paul Laverne and Jerry Evon (Meyers) Polk. Growing up in Jefferson County, she graduated from Nederland High School and later went on to Lamar University, obtaining a master's degree. She was a longtime resident of the Huntsville, Texas, area and had relocated to family property in the Yellow Ridge community in recent years. Linda worked in office administration with the public school system before working for Texas Department of Criminal Justice, where she retired. She loved her Lord and was a member of Yellow Ridge Baptist Church.
Her survivors include her brother, Ted Henry Polk of Broaddus; sons, Tyler Keith Krause and Troy Albert Krause Jr., both of Huntsville; step-daughters, Tanya Krause Ulrich and Tina Krause Daniels; and a host of other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents Paul Laverne and Jerry Evon Polk; her husband, Troy Albert Krause; sister, Paula Jeannine Smith; and a brother, Joe Michael Polk.
A Celebration of Life is being planned and will be held at a later date.
