Linda Darnell (Butler) Parrish

Linda Darnell (Butler) Parrish, age 69, of San Augustine County passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024, at CHI St. Luke's Medical Center in Lufkin.

Darnell was born Sept. 19, 1954, in San Augustine. She was a nurse and served in the U.S. Air Force, ranking as a Staff Sergeant upon her discharge in 1986. After her discharge, Darnell continued working in nursing at hospitals and nursing homes.

Her survivors include her daughter, Stacey Parrish Collins of Spring; a son, Jeffrey Dean Parrish and his wife, Lisa Evett Parrish, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; her brothers, Dwight Cleveland and wife, Cheryl, and Dewayne Cleveland, all of San Augustine; and her grandchildren, Reiley Parrish, Rowan Collins, Lucas Collins, and Lela Parrish.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Earline "Bill" Cleveland; and a grandson, Jaron Parrish.

Private services will be held with her family.
