Louise (Wilburn) Bennefield

Mrs. Louise Bennefield, age 83, of San Augustine, Texas, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025, at Stone Creek Care Center in San Augustine, Texas.

Mrs. Bennefield was born December 22, 1941, in Shelby County, Texas, to parents Clayton and Lois (Carpenter) Wilburn and had been a longtime resident of the San Augustine area. She was a member of White Rock Baptist Church and had worked in home health, being a great aid to many area residents.

Her survivors include her son, Clayton Bennefield and wife Lea Ann of San Augustine; grandson, Coy Bennefield and wife Jaysa of San Augustine; granddaughter, Aubrey Perry and husband Levi of San Augustine; great-granddaughter, Emmy Bennefield of San Augustine; great-grandson, Call Bennefield of San Augustine; and sisters-in-law, Kathy Wilburn of Center and Beulah Wilburn of Silsbee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bennard Bennefield; parents, Clayton and Lois Wilburn; and brothers, Jerry Wilburn and Glen Wilburn. 

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 27, 2025, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine.

Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 27, 2025, at the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel with Bro. Chris Collins officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Corinth Cemetery.
