Mrs. Margaret Marie Wagstaff, age 80, of Broaddus, Texas, passed away early Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin, Texas.
Mrs. Wagstaff was born October 18, 1944, in Hemet, California, to parents Carrie (Campbell) and Riley Mincher. She had been a longtime resident of the Broaddus area. Mrs. Wagstaff was a homemaker and had also faithfully helped her husband in the logging industry as well as working around the place. She enjoyed gardening and tending her flowers.
Her survivors include her children, Glen Wagstaff and wife Vickie of Broaddus, Texas, Brenda Lee and husband David Roberts of Bronson, Texas, and Jacky Lakey and wife Jackie of Broaddus, Texas; along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Wagstaff; father, Riley Mincher; mother, Carrie Wagstaff; a son, Robert Lakey; grandsons, Lucas Lakey and K.C. Wagstaff; and brothers, Curtis Mincher and Kenneth Mincher.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia St. in San Augustine, Texas.
Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2025, at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel in San Augustine with Bro. Don Lofton and Bro. Joey Watson officiating. Interment will follow at the Wagstaff Family Cemetery, located on Old FM 705 South near Broaddus, Texas.
Pallbearers: Scott Floyd, David Roberts, Billy Riggs, Richard Ayers, Jose Lira, and Joey Watson. Alternate pallbearers: John Ham and James Marlow.
