Mary Elizabeth (Willey) Sullivan, 82, of Broaddus passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022, at CHI St. Luke's Medical Center in San Augustine.
She was born April 19, 1940, in Gist, Texas, to parents Anna (Mahaffey) and David Crockett Willey. Mrs. Sullivan had been a longtime resident of the Broaddus area.
Mary married the love of her life and they were together for over 50 years. She enjoyed trips to Louisiana with her husband, Clark. Arts and crafts were among some of her favorite things to do. Mary loved to color and draw, along with raising her animals. She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. She was loved by many.
Her survivors include her son, John Wayne Sullivan of Broaddus and his wife, Tommie Jean; grandchildren, Corey and Kathryn Sullivan of Broaddus, Johnathan Sullivan of Shreveport, La., Amber Sullivan Walker of Shreveport, La., Coy and Naomi Baros of Hallestville, Jennifer and Matt Boyd of Kirbyville, Elizabeth Sullivan of Huntington, and Morgan and Randel Patrick of Colmesneil; brother and sister-in-law, Nat and Charlene Willey of Pineland; sisters and brother-in-law, Carolina and Latrent Elliott of Milam and Gracie Simmons of Hemphill; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Sullivan, in 2010; son, Brad Sullivan; daughter, Dolores Sullivan; son, James Sullivan; grandson, Paul Baros; sisters, Johnnie Faye, Cynthia West, and Viola McKinney; brothers, Bill Willey and Jerry Willey; and her parents, Anna and David Crockett Willey.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, 316 W. Columbia St. in San Augustine.
A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the Wyman Roberts Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Willie Rigsby officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Hebron Cemetery, located on County Road 4600 between Broaddus and Pineland.
Pallbearers: Don Sullivan, Johnathan Sullivan, Cory Sullivan, Paul Weatherford, and Timothy Weatherford.
