Nancy Polk (Richey) Reed

Nancy Polk Richey Reed, age 82, of Houston, Texas, passed away Friday, December 22, 2023.

A longtime resident of the Houston area, Ms. Reed was born December 29, 1940, in San Augustine County, Texas, to parents J.W. and Blanche (Polk) Richey. She was a graduate of Sam Houston State University and retired after several years as a teacher.

Her survivors include, Mollie Litton and Rodney C. of San Augustine; nephews and nieces, Jeremy C. and Karen Litton and children, Joshua and Ariana of Corinth, Tara Litton of Van Alysten, Pam McCurley and Larry of Lake Dallas, Vernon Richey and Stephanie of Leonard, JoAnn Rigby and Dwyane of Plano and Nancy Worth and Bill of Richardson; sister-in-law, Patsy Richey of Richardson. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. Richey and Blanche and a brother, J.W. Richey III.

A Celebration of Life memorial service is set for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the San Augustine Methodist Church, located at 205 S. Liberty Street in San Augustine, Texas, with Rev. Tim Tuner officiating.
