Nettie Laverne Reeves

Mrs. Nettie Laverne Reeves, age 84, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Avir Healthcare in San Augustine, Texas.

Mrs. Reeves was born March 12, 1941, in Bardstown, Kentucky, to parents Edna Earl (Frazier) and James Nallie. She was a former longtime resident of Winnie, Texas, before moving to San Augustine County. Fishing was a great passion and great pastime for her. She was a member of Cornerstone Church.

Her survivors include a son, Joe Mattingly and wife Brenda of San Augustine County, Texas; her daughter, Sharon Jadzewski and husband Mark of Oklahoma; and a host of other relatives. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, G.C. "Smoke" Reeves; her parents, James and Edna Earl Nallie; and a son, Jeff Mattingly.
