Ralph Allen Smith

Mr. Ralph Allen Smith, age 72, of Bronson, Texas, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Harbor Hospice House in Jasper, Texas.

Mr. Smith was born December 27, 1951, in Houston, Texas, to parents Lucy Ann (Clare) and Earl Allen Smith. Ralph had lived in the Houston area for several years and he worked several years a chemical operator with Rohm & Hass, later Dow Chemical, before retirement. He and Betty Jane Schwab were married October 21, 1963.

His survivors include his wife of almost 51 years, Betty Smith of Bronson, Texas, along with their children, Jimmy Allen Smith, Shelly Diane Batson, and Michael David Smith; and their grandchildren, Olivia Nicole Smith, Kady Michelle Batson, and Dustin Michael Smith.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucy Ann Weldon, and his father, Earl Allen Smith.

A private family memorial is being planned.
