Rosie Holloway, age 89, of San Augustine County, Texas, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Stone Creek Village Health Care Center in San Augustine, Texas.
She was born September 9, 1931, in the Goodwin community of San Augustine County to parents Willie David Holloway and Maggie Viola (Evett) Holloway. Ms. Holloway was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Goodwin School. She was a chicken farmer and had a great love for quilting.
Her survivors include her daughters, Shelly Jeanes and husband Tom of San Augustine, Texas, and Vista McCroskey of Nacogdoches, Texas; and a grandson, Chad Jones of San Augustine, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie David and Maggie Viola Holloway; a daughter, Renay McCroskey; brothers, O.B. Holloway, A.D. Holloway, Ollie Holloway, Hollie Holloway, Jim Holloway, Rudolph Holloway, Archie Holloway, and J.T. Holloway; and her sisters, Clara Holloway and Katie Stevens.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine, Texas.
A graveside service is set for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Attoyac Cemetery, located at 600 FM 3316 in San Augustine County, Texas.
