Simon Mewborn

Mr. Simon Mewborn, age 48, of Broaddus, Texas, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023, at his residence.

Mr. Mewborn was born April 26, 1975, in Angelina County, Texas, to parents Donnie Jo (Hickman) and William Leon Mewborn and had lived in the Broaddus area for several years. He had worked as truck driver and later as an offshore production manager. Simon was a member of Broaddus Pentecostal Church.

His survivors include his wife, Luanne Mewborn of Broaddus, Texas; a daughter, Cheyenne Mewborn of Broaddus, Texas; a son, Andrew Mewborn of Broaddus, Texas; nephews, Matthew McVey and Rebel Steptoe; sister, Wanda Mullins; and a brother, Ray Crawford.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Dharma Jo Mewborn; and sisters, Vicki Reeves and Tina Reeves.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2024, in the Broaddus Pentecostal Church, with Bro. Jathan Green officiating.
