Syble Nell (Wagstaff) Williams

Mrs. Syble Nell (Wagstaff) Williams, age 91, of Broaddus, Texas, passed away Friday, November 29, 2024, at Castle Pines Care Center in Lufkin, Texas.

Syble was born April 12, 1933, in San Augustine County to parents Cecil and Vina (Dailey) Wagstaff. She was a lifelong area resident. Syble was married to her husband, Marlin Williams, for 66 years.

She was a homemaker, cared for foster children, and became a beautician for 20 years. Syble was a faithful Christian and member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Her survivors include her daughter-in-law, Carla Williams of Diboll, Texas; a sister, Betty Sue Parker of Apple Springs, Texas; grandsons, Randall Williams and wife Staci of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Jessie Williams and wife Grace of Broaddus, Texas; her great-grandchildren, Hailey Williams, Audrey Williams, Charlie Williams, and Levi Williams; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Vina Wagstaff; her husband, Marlin Williams; her son, Wilber Williams; and 11 siblings, Malene Hickman, Ray Wagstaff, J.B. Wagstaff, Mary Frances Williams, G.C. Wagstaff, Eldon Wagstaff, Herman Wagstaff, Patsy West, Nancy Mae Phillips, Linda Faye Long, and Weldon Wagstaff.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine, Texas.

Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel with Bro. T.A. Lane officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Hebron Cemetery, located on County Road 4600 near Broaddus, Texas.

Pallbearers: Paul Weatherford, Timothy Weatherford, Brock Weatherford, Corey Sullivan, John Sullivan, and Jackie Lakey; and Trenton Sullivan, alternate.
